Alex the Groper was interviewed on the radio this morning, promoting his ego-trip party. When asked “how much confidence can women…have that you’re someone who has learnt from the past?” he spent four minutes denying accusations, blustering about his sex offences aquittal and avoiding the question.
It’s a common political tactic to never admit error, it’s seen as admitting weakness. I find it interesting that he wouldn’t use the opportunity to promote how he’s moved on and can now be trusted by the other 52% (who were traditionally more cautious about leaving the UK). Do you think this might mean he doesn’t believe he did anything wrong? Maybe their skirts are there for virile men to put their hands up? That perhaps women don’t matter?
